I work from an Integrative stance which means I pull from a range of theories, models and tools to provide you with the most appropriate therapeutic interventions unique to your individual needs and circumstance.
Hi I’m Poppy
Are you currently going through a difficult or challenging time? Or perhaps you find yourself watching a loved one struggle and feeling unsure about how best to offer your support? I hope that I can provide you with some information upon how I work to offer help.
I started Poppy Manson Counselling in October 2025 and I have worked with some lovely families and individuals with a variety of different needs. I provide support to children, young people, adults and families from my base in Titchfield and online.
I qualified 8 years ago with a BA Hons in Humanistic Counselling and have worked in different places across South East Hampshire, gaining skills and experience. I also facilitated therapy groups for teenagers in secondary schools and within family centres for children of primary age. These groups provided early support for issues like anxiety, EBSA (emotional based school avoidance) self-esteem, and exam stress.
Alongside this I worked within the local CAMHS single point of access team providing first point of call support for incoming referrals to the service.
I have spent 6 years supporting young people in care who have faced developmental trauma through one-on-one therapy. I also help the staff working with these children by providing training, workshops, and individual support using therapeutic parenting methods based on DDP and P.A.C.E. I collaborate closely with a team that includes residential home managers, social workers, school pastoral staff, and independent reviewing officers.
As well as young people, I have experience working individually with adults on a range of complex issues, including sexual abuse, substance misuse, anxiety, low mood, and various relationship problems. In addition to this, I previously offered short-term counselling of 6 to 8 sessions, specifically for parents of primary school children. This service was provided through the troubled families fund and my sessions aimed to create a safe, supportive environment where parents could explore their challenges during particularly difficult periods in their lives.
I attend monthly clinical supervision sessions and regularly participate in additional courses to continually improve my professional skills. As a BACP accredited member, I adhere to strict ethical guidelines and high professional standards to ensure I provide effective, compassionate, and ethical therapy to all my clients.
